IRAN - "Given that eggs are being supplied at prices higher than reasonable levels in the retail market, the implementation of an egg traceability system is considered the only fundamental solution for market regulation." The Secretary of the Poultry Federation stated.
Farzad Talakesh, Secretary of the Poultry Federation, stated that there is no problem with egg production, adding: "Currently, the egg production situation is so favorable and exceeds domestic market that, in addition to exports, support purchases are being made to assist poultry farmers."
Stating that "According to monthly statistics, over 120,000 tons of eggs are produced, which exceeds the country's consumption needs." He added: "We have no concerns about egg supply,"Â
The Secretary of the Poultry Federation commented on the latest status of egg exports, stating: "According to statistics, approximately 55,000 to 56,000 tons of eggs have been exported to target markets since the beginning of the year, and it is projected that at least another 70,000 tons will be exported in the second half of the year."
Talakesh said: "Although we reached an agreement with the Ministry of Jihad Agriculture on adjusting egg prices, we have not yet finalized the new official price with the Market Regulation Headquarters."
