ITPNews

IRAN - A member of the Agricultural Commission of the Parliament stated that the problems with the BazarGah system and the allocation of foreign currency for the import of livestock inputs persist, adding: "Delays in supplying livestock inputs threaten the future of the meat market."

Referring to the numerous meetings held by the Commission with livestock farming associations and government agencies, as well as the visit to Imam Khomeini Port, he said: "Unfortunately, no significant change is yet observed in the market for livestock inputs; some small-scale livestock farms have managed to obtain inputs through the BazarGah system, but large-scale farms are still facing problems."

Yazdian emphasized: "The Ministry of Agricultural Jihad must take more serious measures in this regard, and the Central Bank and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance also need to provide the necessary cooperation in allocating foreign currency."

Pointing to the obstacles in providing foreign currency for the import of livestock inputs, the Vice Chairman of the Agricultural Commission of the Parliament noted: "If this trend continues, the shortage of inputs will manifest its effects on production and ultimately lead to an increase in the price of red meat and poultry in the market.”
