The Deputy Minister of Jihad Agriculture stated: Since the beginning of the year, approximately 7,000 head of light and heavy livestock, including cattle, calves, camels, and sheep, have been imported from Pakistan into Sistan and Baluchestan province.
According to him, Iran currently imports meat from South America, Europe, Central Asia, Pakistan, India and the African continent. For this purpose, before any importation, the health requirements specified by the Veterinary Organization are communicated, and necessary assessments and inspections of farms and livestock facilities in the respective countries are conducted. After review and approval of the slaughterhouses, import permits are issued.
At entry points, both warm and frozen imported meats are sampled and tested. After meeting all health requirements and regulations, the meat is permitted to enter and be distributed for household and industrial consumption, and this process will remain unchanged.
