A member of the Council for Pricing Essential Agricultural Products warned about the increase in the price of livestock inputs and stated: The market for livestock inputs is in turmoil, and prices have increased significantly, which affects the price of the final product, including the price of meat, chicken, and eggs.

In response to the question: "According to the Minister of Agriculture, the price of livestock inputs has not increased, and only the price of domestic barley has risen. Do you confirm or deny the minister's statement?" A member of the Council for Pricing Essential Agricultural Products and the head of the National Wheat Farmers Foundation of Iran said: “The price of government-supplied inputs has increased, and as a result, farmers, following that, have raised the price of their products and are selling domestic barley for 20,000 tomans per kilogram.”

Dissatisfaction among importers and consumers of livestock inputs
Stating that the price of imported livestock inputs has increased, reported a chain of complaints from importers and consumers of livestock inputs said The head of the National Wheat Farmers Foundation of Iran: “Importers and consumers of livestock inputs are dissatisfied because preferential currency is given. Now what has happened that livestock inputs reach the consumer expensively? This price increase is certainly not due to the increase in the price of barley by domestic producers.”

The increase in the price of livestock inputs is not due to the rise in domestic input prices
A member of the Council for Pricing Essential Agricultural Products stated: “The increase in the price of livestock inputs is not due to a rise in domestic product prices. It is quite the opposite. The supply of domestically produced livestock inputs at higher prices than before is influenced by the increase in the price of imported inputs.”

Regarding the impact of rising livestock input prices on the cost of other products, Hashemi stated: "We are largely dependent on imports for the production of meat, milk, and poultry because our industry is an assembly-based industry; meaning that domestic producers manufacture, but their spare parts are entirely imported from abroad. Therefore, the increase in livestock input prices that occurred ultimately affects the final products, whether it's meat, poultry, eggs, or milk."

The price of hay, soybeans, barley, and corn has increased.
The head of the National Wheat Farmers Foundation of Iran said: “When a domestic producer supplies livestock inputs at a high price, they cannot sell at a low price. Ultimately, they must sell at a high price to avoid losses. This is why there is a direct relationship between them.”
In response to a question about which inputs have become more expensive, Hashemi stated: "The price of hay, which is produced from domestic wheat, is 10,000 tomans per kilogram; barley is 23,000 tomans per kilogram; corn is 20,000 tomans per kilogram; and soybeans are 30,000 tomans per kilogram. These are the items that have become more expensive and ultimately impact the increase in the price of the final product."
