The Deputy Minister of Agriculture said: "In the livestock sector, we are self-sufficient in providing 96 to 97% of animal vaccines and 35% of poultry vaccines."Â
The Deputy Minister of Agriculture stated: "The Veterinary Organization of Iran is responsible for supplying health inputs such as vaccines, medicines, biological materials, and supplements for the country's livestock population."Â
He added: "These supplies are typically forecasted and procured 6 months to a year in advance, so events like the recent war do not cause shortages in the market."Â
He stated: "In the livestock sector, 96 to 97% of vaccines are domestically produced, while in the poultry sector, this figure stands at 35%."Â
Rafieipour added: "Achieving self-sufficiency in poultry vaccines is part of the Veterinary Organization's plans. According to the Seventh Development Plan, we must reach 70% self-sufficiency, and we hope this goal will be realized."Â
