5% increase in egg export compared to last year

The chairman of the Poultry Farmers Union board of directors said: “According to the statistics 90 thousand tons of eggs have been exported to the target markets since the beginning of the year, which has increased by 5% compared to the previous year.”
In an interview Hamidreza Kashani said: “The current price of each kilo of egg is 55 to 57 thousand tomans, which should reach consumers at a price of about 68 thousand tomans.”
Kashani continued: “Despite the stability of the price of eggs in the last 2 years, the price offered by the union to the government to buy each kilo of eggs at the door of poultry farms is 64,000 tomans, which unfortunately has not been paid attention to.”
The Chairman of the Poultry Farmers Union board of directors estimated the production of eggs in November was 116 thousand tons and added: “The estimates indicate that the production of eggs in November-December will reach 118 thousand tons, so we do not have a shortage in supply.”
Referring to the 5% increase in egg exports compared to the previous year, he said: “According to the statistics, 90,000 tons of eggs have been exported to target markets since the beginning of the year, and it is expected to reach 140,000 tons by the end of the year.”
Kashani said: “Estimates indicate that egg production will reach to one million and 350 thousand tons by the end of the year.”
