Kurdistan self-sufficiency in Eggs production

 

Esmaeel Zarei Kusha the governer of Kurdistan stated: "Today, fortunately agricultural products, including broiler chicken, are more than the province's needs and is exported to other provinces. Egg production ratio to province needs has changed from 20% to 70% which reflects a serious step toward protective policies and strategies."

Referring to the capacity of the province industrial cold storages which were 30 thousand tons in 2021 and now have reached to 108 thousand tons, he said: "During past 2 and a half years,  3.5 times more cold storages have been developed for agricultural products comparing to the past 40 years."
